Chapter 1 — Introduction

Chapter 3 — Favoring Our Brains
We are trained from an early age to live in our heads, disconnected
from our bodies and emotions.True wisdom is cultivated by integrating
your logical brain with your intuitive body. If you are living mainly

what you think you SHOULD do rather than what you WANT to do or what

Chapter 4 — The High Cost of Ignoring Body
Sensations
If we are in touch with our body sensations and can feel our emotions
in real-time, then these sensations or waves of energy naturally move
through our bodies and are released as we process the feelings. In the
processing of sensations and emotions, we avoid energy blocks. On the
other hand, if we block or stuff "negative" feelings down
inside and don't release them, we will develop energy blocks.
Chapter 5 — Understanding Emotions
Motivation is the root of all emotions. There is "I want" or "I
don't want". If some activity or thought is creating a less-than-happy
emotion then it is an indication that you are doing something that you
don't want to do or thinking about something that you don't
want.
Chapter 6 — Are Emotions Bad?
Many of us have a negative judgment of what it means to be "emotional".
We often associate "emotional" with people who seem to have
no control over their emotions. This is not accurate. An emotionally
intelligent person is able to feel her emotions in real-time and chooses
whether or not to express these emotions. Remember, you are human. It
is impossible to be emotionless.
Chapter 7 — Your Inner Compass
You cannot make wise decisions without a clear connection to your emotions.
Emotions show us what we care about and let us know when our needs are
not being met. If emotions are understood and honored, they can help
us to make wise decisions. If we ignore our emotions, we can waste a
lot of time pursuing activities and goals that we don't really
want. This chapter offers foundational exercises for wise decision-making.
Chapter 8 — Moods
We don't have moods, they have us. If you are in a mood of hopelessness,
frustration, despair, or depression, chances are that the world is showing
up pretty grey and colorless. You may not see any options for change
or have the energy to make any changes. Being in a perpetual bad mood
will keep you stuck in the Corporate Cubeworld because you won't
have the energy, perspective, or ability to take positive actions that
